Jakarta Fair Runs Successfully as One of Catalysts for Economic Revival

Jakarta Vice Governor Ahmad Riza Patria, attended the closing ceremony of the 2022 Jakarta Fair trade expo at the JIExpo Kemayoran Arena, Central Jakarta, on Sunday (7/17) night.

He said that the Jakarta administration appreciated the success of the Jakarta Fair after a two-year hiatus during the Covid-19 pandemic. As is known, the event held from June 9 to July 17, 2022.

"Representing the Governor, we express our appreciation and congratulations to all the committees, JIExpo ranks, for the success of the event. Besides enlivening Jakarta's 495th Anniversary, this is one of the catalysts for the revival of the economy and Indonesian products to regain global competitiveness," he expressed, as quoted by Jakarta PPID's press release.

The Jakarta Fair is the largest, longest, and most comprehensive exhibition event in the Southeast Asia region. It has contributed significantly to improving the regional and national economy, opening up entrepreneurship opportunities for the community, raising the level of craftsmen, and street vendors, as well as empowering cooperatives and MSMEs.

After waiting for two years, positive responses and very good euphoria were also shown by the community for this year's event. Starting from music concerts, carnival parades, and culinary delights to CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) activities such as CSR Care for Children and Blood Donation, and so on.

He hoped that all parties involved in the success of the event, including business people, should work hand in hand to make Jakarta a global city that is advanced, modern, and happy for its residents.

It was also expected to be an inspiration and a means to create good 'networking', share experiences, and exchange knowledge thus business actors will have more capable capabilities in improving the quality of their products in the future.
